The Geography of Mijas Costa
Mijas Costa is comprised of several distinct urbanisations and neighbourhoods, each with its own character:
Las Lagunas: This is the commercial and residential heart, right on the border with Fuengirola. It's very practical, exceptionally safe, and where you'll find our Almitak development.
La Cala de Mijas: Once a quiet fishing village, it's now a highly sought-after, rather smart coastal town. Known for its wide beaches, superb restaurants, and that lovely coastal boardwalk, the Senda Litoral.

Families at Almitak in Las Lagunas are just minutes away from St. Anthony's College, the Finnish School, the Swedish School, and Colegio Salliver. If you're on the western side of Mijas Costa, perhaps Calahonda, the English International College (EIC) in East Marbella is also easily reached.
